Le Creuset Enameled Cast-Iron 2-1/4-Quart Saucier Pan, Cherry

Wonderful addition to your battery de cuisine
I ADORE this pan. I received one with a set from AMEX rewards....it's simply the best sauce pan I've ever used! It boils water quickly and efficiently, but also responds to heat reduction very well. I am celiac and used rice flour, arrow root and such to thicken sauces (they burn very easily). This pan works very well with them. It's thick so the heat is even; when I reduce the heat to thicken the sauce, the pan responds and I have perfectly smooth, velvety sauces every time. Another feature I love about this pan is that the rounded bottom makes stirring the sauce easy---no corners to get into. Size: very nicely sized for a variety of recipes....not too big, but not small either. (boils a dozen eggs, makes 3 cups rice, or cheese sauce for family-sized mac-n-cheese)

The recipes that come with this pan are also good. My family liked the Chili Chicken over rice. Yum!

This pan's expensive...but well made and should be the last sauce pan you ever purchase,...

Nothing like it. Save up and buy the best.
The ease of cooking and cleaning for this product are superb. Even heat distribution means no burning ever and I wouldn't have another set in my home. If you are serious about cooking, this is the only choice for perfect cooking every time.

LeCreuset Cast Iron enameled Saucier Pan
I absolutely love Le Creuset...their pans are extremely well made, and worth the money. So many of the cast iron cookware are made in China, but Le Creuset is made in France, and has been for over 50 years that I know of. I received a Le Creuset casserole in 1958 when I was first married, and it is still in very good shape after all these years. I have found that the cleaner for my glass-top stove works very well to clean any cooked on foods or stains, and it cleans up like new.
