Staub 5 Quart Round Cocotte, Black

Meats fall off the bone
I've cooked chicken, beef and pork on this pot and it cooks it very tender without falling apart like pressure cookers do. The self-basting technology makes the meat taste more flavourful. I got another 7 quart oval one from the recent sale and intend to make full use of it as well.

Nice product at a great price
Having shopped around extensively for a dutch oven I can say the $111 I paid is a great price for this product. It performs as promised - food cooks up moist and tender. I've made several chicken dishes in it and stuffing for Thanksgiving. It goes from stovetop to oven to table and it cleans up easily, making it really convenient to use.

Excellent Cookware
I've used this cookware twice now. Slow-cooking in the oven (braised pot roast), and slow-cooking on the stove-top (long-cook chili.) Not a mark on it, despite the fact that I have an electric stove/oven and also both times I cleaned it using the dishwasher. For those looking, this pot is highly recommended. PS: Note - the lid weighs as much as the vessel does! Which I think is Great, but it may be heavy for some to handle - keep in mind, this is cast-iron cookware (which weighs), and I think at its finest. Glad I got it.
