I love the color. One thing I did not like is that the D ring for adjusting the length is right next to the top of the bib, rather than at the back of the neck. There is a lot of extra strap hanging down in front which needs to be tucked behind the bib to keep it out of the way.

This is great. It can cook a large amount of rice, but doesn't take longer than regular size rice cooker. rice is always perfect too. my mother loves it. The only thing bad i can think of is that it doesn't have a container for the rice spatula, but that is not really a problem.

Warm rice all the time
I have owned this type of Rice Cooker for more than 2 years. It is a little pricey compared to other rice cookers, but from my experience, it is worth it. This rice cooker cooks rice quickly (15 minutes or so) and it keep the rice warm until you are ready to eat. I had my rice stay on "warm" one time for two days without the rice turning brown and the bottom getting hard and burnt. We always have our rice cooker on "warm" so that we can have rice available 24/7. We eat rice for lunch and dinner and sometimes for breakfast too, so I always cook rice in the morning and it will last us until dinner. If we have left over rice for dinner, it will still stay warm and fluffy the next day.

I have tried several cheaper rice cookers sold in Target, they do a good job in cooking rice, but they dont keep it warm and soft... after a few hours of being on "warm" the rice turns brown and hard. These cheap rice cookers are only good for occasional rice eaters and for those who can finish...

Best Rice Cooker - Dependable - Great for the Money
Got Rice? Our family eats rice every day (2-3 times) and our last Tiger 10 cup rice cooker was a Christmas present from my parents over 10 years ago. When the non-stick got too worn out, I decided to buy a Panasonic based on decent user reviews. Well, the quality of rice that came out was not up to TIGER standard. With TIGER, you have fluffy rice that kept well for hours, not crusty/hard/crunchy. Well, after seeing this on sale, I had to buy it. Trust a life time rice eater. This is the best rice cooker for around $100 (or more) that you can buy.

Rice the way it was meant to be eaten...
I have owned this cooker for almost 17 years, yes, only one of them. And though the lid doesn't always close tightly any more, it still makes incredible rice. International friends who come to my house are always surprised, and pleased, to see the cooker. They know they will get to eat good rice. I have eaten what comes out of cheaper cookers. Buy a good one, and this is a good one. We use it one to two times a week and it has been a workhorse, 3 servings, 10 servings, it does them all. It keeps the rice warm for hours. A great investment.

KitchenAid KFP750PK 700-Watt 12-Cup Food Processor, Cook for the Cure Komen Foundation Pink

Works very well
After years of not having a food processor, finally broke down and bought this one. I'd made do with a stand mixer, blender, mortar and pestle, and knives. Not sure why I waited so long to buy one, but am very glad I did.

The 750 works as advertised. It has a powerful motor, the various cutting blades perform well.

The reasons for giving the product 4 stars instead of 5 are:

1. The lid does not seal very tightly so when processing liquids, there's a fair amount of leakage.

2. The mini-bowl is very handy and handles small amounts better than if they were put in the larger bowl; but, there is frequently some leakage into the main bowl.

These are minor issues and shouldn't discourage anyone from buying this machine. However, the new 760 model seems to have many more features for just a little bit more money. Before buying the 750, you should check to see if the 760 better meets what you need.

Wonderful machine
A more accurate rating for this food processor, in my opinion, would be 4 and a half stars. It is truly a great machine. Sadly, this is my third food processor in 4 years, as I had two horrible experiences with other brands, before I finally bit the bullet and spent the cash on this one. I wish I had done that in the first place! I have used this processor for several applications and so far I am VERY pleased. It shreds cheese like a pro, chops veggies with ease, pulverizes nuts, is adept at making batters and doughs etc. It is a very powerful machine and can handle just about any task you throw at it. The smaller mixing bowl and blade attachment is very handy, too, and a welcome addition for those smaller jobs. Great product with serious liquid limitations which make it a 4 cup food processor.
This is a wondeerful food processor with a powerful and quiet motor. There is one odd feature that is not very clearly mentioned about the amount of limited liquid this unit can handle and should be well understood before one buys this device. First you will not be able to put much more than 2 inches of fluid, 4 cups(32 ounces)due to the short center shaft which is only 2 inches that holds the blade in the main cavity. This is a design limitation that could have been overcome with simple mechanical engineering by using the full height of the cavity which is 5 inches. Instead of using a longer center shaft designed to slide the small work bowl on,the Kitchenaid engineers used a short 2 inch shaft. This in turn severly limits the height of fluid in the main mixing cavity to 2 inches(4 cups), because fluid leaks out of the main cavity over the short 2 inch center shaft that holds the processor blade. This is the one I use most often
This aerator has changed the way I drink wine and allowed some of my friends who don't enjoy red wine to be able to drink. It works by attaching the wine aerator to the top of the bottle, allowing the wine to pour out the spot when tilted. The magic all happens when the wine is run across a magnet that helps open up the wine to allow air to be infused with the wine via the air hole pictured in the item picture here on amazon.

I have several Wine Aerators that I have used over the last few years. Each aerator has a different effect on the wine poured through it and some are easier to use then others. This aerator is my most used aerator as it is both easy to use and opens up the wine well. I love how it fits on top of the bottle and stays on when I pour. I can just attach it and forget it. It also has a no-drip tip that works well compared to strait pouring.

4 Cup Electric Rice Cooker By Tiger Electronics

15 years and still going!
I'm always amazed to see this product still being sold at local Chinese supermarkets and here on Amazon. I've used mine for over 15 years now and quite regularly in the past 5 years. I don't see the non-stick stuff coming off the cook bowl but over time, there will be some small particles of rice stuck on quite permanently. I don't scrub because it is a non-stick surface. I've seen this happen with other rice cookers so I'm not sure you can get around this by just purchasing another brand. You're probably better off buying a softer wood paddle for cheap available at most Chinese/Japanese markets. My dad just sanded off the rough edges of the plastic paddle that came with my cooker. I haven't replaced my rice bowl yet as it still releases rice just fine. Unfortunately, the price is also unmoved after all these years.

Btw, I see inexperienced friends buying large (e.g. 10 cup) rice cookers. This is generally not a wise idea if you're only cooking for 1 or 2 people...

16 years of hard use and still working great!
I never write reviews but this rice cooker is the most reliable piece of electronics I have ever owned. My parents gave it to me as a gift when I went to college in 1994, it survived undergrad, Peace Corps (yes, I love it so much it went to Honduras with me), then grad school, multiple moves, marriage and now parenthood. I rec'd a larger one as a wedding present but I still use my tried and true. It has always been reliable and cooks all types of rice perfectly. The only problem I have with it now is that the non-stick coating is a little scratched at the bottom (my fault - wasn't always careful with not using metal utensils) so I'm looking to replace the inner pot. Don't hesitate - this is a great buy and the four cup capacity has been more than enough for two adults and a baby even with seconds.

Served us well for more than 12 years
I purchased this rice cooker on advice of the nursing staff at the hospital where I was on staff. The Asian ladies kept a huge rice cooker going 24/7, and many a day, when Labor & Delivery got really busy, that was all we got a chance to eat. Rice with some soy sauce kept us going.

Having been raised in Louisiana and eating rice almost everyday, I was amazed at how this rice cooker kept rice warm & ready to eat all the time, without the hassle of cooking in a pot. I decided then & there to get one for myself, and the nurses suggested Tiger brand as the most reliable. At that time they were hard to find in regular stores, so off I went to an Asian store & bought one.

I have never been so happy with a small appliance! Even my husband, who had to learn from me how to cook a reasonable pot of rice, now can cook rice to perfection.

I've always considered it a point of culinary pride to cook rice by hand in a normal cooking pot. That is until I ended up with a 2-year-old who is a very picky eater, with rice one of the items on her "approved" list. I've used this product for many years but haven't been able to find anything but the waxed paper kind locally. I'm a home user. It is great for repacking quantity meat before wrapping in freezer paper. It helps prevent freezer burn. I use it for separating cookies, cake slices, etc. when I pack them for camping. Casual Style Cappuccino Finish Wood Dining Table

Good table at an unbeatable price
We stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. The dining space is limited and our old table was creaking. Local furniture stores wanted 300 bucks for a table this size when i chanced upon this table at Amazon. For $95 delivered this table is awesome value.

1. Wooden legs and a nice chocolate color-exactly as pictured.
2. Good veneer finish on table top. Table top is made of engineered wood (particle board) but very good quality engineered wood.
3. The table goes well together, is easy to put together (10 mins) and has a solid feel to it.

If you are looking at furniture that will impress your neighbors, this is not it. If you want a table that looks decent and is upto the task, while not breaking your bank-this is it.

Oster Food Processor Accessory 5900-06

Lovely!
I love this mini food processor and use it on a daily basis, from chopping nuts to grinding chick peas for hummus to making pesto. I have been using this type of osterizer for over twenty years, only needing to replace the plastic parts once.

many uses, small foot print
I love this item. Its great having the power of the Osterizer blender motor, but a small "whizzer" that takes care of nuts, pesto, cheese, spices, onions, zuchinni, etc. I use it just about every day. If you put it in the dishwasher, that will definitely shorten its life to about 4-5 years.

Wine Enthusiast Label Savers, Set of 10

Great if used correctly
I have used these label removers for a couple of years. At first I had a problem with them but discovered how to make them work. Place label remover over wine label and smooth out, then place HOT water in the wine bottle and let sit for one minute. I have an instant hot water dispenser which makes this easy. Empty the bottle and use a razor blade to get the edge of the label started. The rest of the label will pull off very easily. The HOT water loosens the glue adhering the label to the bottle.

Great idea, difficult execution
I have a few bottles of wine that I absolutely loved and always wanted to remember the brand, vintage, style, and label art. This was a great product to help with all that and also reduce the bulk of having a bunch of empty wine bottles all over my small apartment. This product does work, it just takes some skill and patience to do what you need it to do. Read the directions and be patient when attempting to use this. I recommend trying a few test runs on labels you don't care about first.

The Best There Are
These are the best there are, accept no substitutions!

I went through a couple of other brands trying to save a few pennies but it was just not worth it. These work the best in removing the label, giving it a good layer of protection, and being able to smooth and preserve in your wine journal.

They do take some practice though. Be prepared to not get the sticker in the right place, to crease it, not rub the label saver down hard enough, to tear it. Buy a bottle or two of inexpensive wine that you can practice on before you use the label saver on that bottle that you've been saving for that perfect occasion.

So this is how I do it:
There are two backings on the saver. One to cover the label, one small strip for you to hold on to as you position the saver. Peel off the larger backing and center it over your label. Remember that you have that strip so make sure you center accordingly. I'm right handed so I keep the strip on my right side.

Great coaching tool for learning bridge
These place mats contain useful tips, very easy to navigate and read.. They are placemat size, look like plastic, and therefore not terribly 'aesthetic' - very busy looking with 4 place mats on bridge size table - but easy to wipe clean. Value at amazon price is good, not outstanding. For coaching place mats in this price range, this is a very good purchase.

Took a flier on SpecialTeas.com and i am very happy. Came within one week packaged in mylar resealable packages. My previous experience with this has been at high end tea outlets. Fragrant, excellent tasting. This surpassses my previous experiences. I suppose I gave it only 4 stars because I want to leave room for a Nirvana tea experience (but this one was excellent).

Wine Cork Serving Tray Kit

Pretty Sweet
This thing is pretty awesome. I've been collecting wine corks for about a year now and didnt know what to do with them. After doing some research online, I ordered one of these in early Decemeber. I made one for my Mom and after seeing my sisters get jealous, I had to order two more and make one for each of them. It's great for a housewarming gift or any celebration. I'm all out of corks now but once I build my collection up again, I'll be sure to order another one to have in my own home. Another great thing is that you can remove the clear plastic covering to clean if someone happens to spill something on it. It's also pretty fun placing the corks into position, it's like a big puzzle. Just an FYI, you'll need about 100 corks (give or take a few) to complete the board. Great product...

Cork Crazy
I ordered two of these a gift for myself and for a friend. They are quality products. They come with glue & sand paper & a wall hanger in case you want it, but I am using mine as a tray. I did not glue my corks because I very carefully made them have a pretty tight fit & the plexiglass cover holds them secure. The one I made for a friend, I shipped UPS & the unglued corks did not dislodge. Keep in mind this takes a lot of corks (160+) & was pretty tedious to sort & work in some special "one of a kinds". It was a great snow day project to make two of these and two trivets. I love it, as does my friend & it makes a beautiful centerpiece on my baker's rack and works well for serving appetizers. It's awesome.

I bought these napkins around 3 months ago but just got around to reviewing them. I paid 83 dollars and thought that was a good price, even though now I see they are cheaper. I got the napkins a couple of days later in a huge brown box that weighed at least 60 pounds, I actually hurt my back lifting it up. ( Luckily, I could wipe away my tears with these napkins I just bought. ) They are a little smaller than your regular sized napkin, but get the job done and soak up plenty of fluid. They are pretty soft as well. I have a couple of food trucks and at 10000 a pack they keep my fleet in stock for awhile. Good napkins for the price.

Le Creuset 2-3/4 Quart Round French Oven, Kiwi

Expensive, but pleasure to cook with
I love these pots that I now own in two sizes. The cooking is even, they're pretty versatile--I can saute or braise over the stove, and/or stick in the oven for roasting or oven braising, and they're attractive enough to serve tableside. They're usually very easy to clean too.
Downsides are they're extraordinarily heavy--especially the bigger sizes, and they are pricey. For me I find them a good investment. If you don't make a lot of slow cooked type of dishes, it might be "too big" a pot for you from the weight and pricey standpoint.
Only problem I've had is occasionally the top knob comes loose, but it's easy to screw back in.

Staub 5 Quart Bouillabaisse Pot, Blue

Great Pot
This pot is excellent cookware. It is the perfect size for soup, chili and other dishes. I love the flatish bottom that provides a larger heated surface. With the top on, the whole pot maintains the heat and cooks quickly. Additionally, the pot is gorgeous!

Fantastic choice!
I own this pot before I get into cast iron cooking. The size is perfect for all type of cooking. It takes a lot of abuse from my family but still look gorgeos and works excellent.

I received my Staub 6.25 Quart Bouillabaisse Pot, Blue in a box without any packaging except a thin layer of bubble wrap. There were chips in the lid and around the rim of the pot. My feeling is that some of the extensive damage was done before the packaging. I'm hoping inspections are completed "before" mailing so this will not happen again. I have received an email that my replacement will take several weeks since there are none in stock. I'm wondering since my product was so damaged, if I received a return myself.

Earl Grey de la Crème, 1lb.

Wonderful afternoon treat!
I did not buy this from this particular vendor, but I wanted to say this tea is really wonderful. Just as described, it adds a nice vanilla and cream flavor to the earl grey. I like it with a little sugar. I bet it would be good with a little milk as well.

Tasty Earl Grey
The mallow flower gives this earl grey a sweet vanilla scent and mellows the flavor just a touch. But there are no sweeteners or fake flavors. This and the regular variety of earl grey offered by Special Teas is exceptionally smooth and full flavored. Great with a touch of honey and cream (I know, I know, you're not *supposed* to with earl grey, but I don't let tradition dictate my tea drinking).

My favorite tea
I order this tea on a regular basis, first, because I love it. Second, because I have to replace my personal stock. Anyone who drinks this tea wants to have more to bring home. It's that good, even for people who don't normally drink Earl Grey.

Concorde Lever Style Corkscrew Set - Black

The only thing easier would be to have your own butler
But that wouldn't be any quicker. I saw this corkscrew demonstrated on America's Test Kitchen, and I couldn't believe how quickly and easily it worked. I got one for my wife, and sure enough, it really is that easy. Just push the lever down and pull the lever back up; that's all there is to it. I don't know why they still manufacture the other kinds of corkscrews; this one renders them all obsolete. I know you can spend over $100 on designs similar to this one, but I don't know why anyone would do that since this one works so well.

There is a warning that you shouldn't use this with synthetic corks. We have ignored that warning on many occasions now (who uses real corks anymore?) and have not had any trouble.

100 Ultra Wine Bottle Tags -Paper

Best label going for various size bottles
Due to the slits around the opening, this label will fit a wide variety of neck sizes including Burgundy and those odd Rosemount Shiraz necks. I would like it better if it were more of a plastic coated paper since I think it would hold up longer in a cellar, but at least it fits all my bottles. The others I've purchased don't.

A decent tag although the writing space is a little small. Also the hole could be bigger in order to fit all size bottles.

This review does not reflect the product itself, just the charges for shipping. DO NOT ORDER THIS PRODUCT FROM THE SELLER TARGET!!! They charged me over $15 dollars for the standard shipping option for a package and weight that is quite small. In my view this is a ripoff and should not be allowed by Amazon in the first place.

Kansas Jayhawks Plastic Crystal Freezer Mugs - Set of 4

Works great, but won't last forever
I have purchased two of these and I am on line to purchase another. The pluses and minuses:

Pluses:

- Perfect size. Pour in a 12 oz can and it fits perfect

- This thing REALLY works. I love it!! While you shouldn't expect it to take a warm drink and get it cold, it will take a fairly cold drink and keep it cold. It will keep it cold for at least 45 minutes or so.

- If you don't drink very fast, there will be a portion of the drink that will turn to ice. Kind of fun.

Minuses:

- Really only one, but a big one. Like I mentioned above, I have had two of these things. I just threw away the second one. It lasted about a year, and then the side split open. Same thing happened to the other one. I can't figure out if there is anything in particular that I have done to cause this. I have never put it in the dishwasher (directions say not to and that is a VERY good direction). I typically just rinse it off and put...

I've owned the Lansky system for almost 20 years and they perform perfectly and enable me to get fantastically sharp knives every time with a modicum of elbow grease but without any actual skill. Very Happy
I have used a Lansky kit since the late eighties. I bought my brother this same kit. Because of the kit I have a reputation for having sharp knives. During dinner parties I overhear friends warning others before they step in to help to be careful because the knives are really sharp.

On the product. It does work better for small knives. I sharpen my 10 inch chef knife, but it might require two settings for the clamp.

Also, this product puts a perfect angle on the blade. I've been told that the 'old guys' using regular stones actually try to put a rounded taper on the edge. That might last longer, I'm not sure.

It Works Very Well
I have owned the Lansky Universal Sharpening System for close to a year and have used it to keep an assortment of knives in top shape. The Lansky system has been by far the best and most effective system I have used for keeping my assortment of kitchen and sporting knives nice and sharp. This comes after having tried a variety of mechanical and electric sharpeners with indifferent success.

The Lansky Universal Sharpening System comes neatly packaged with all the parts you will need to get a nice sharp edge on flat blade and serrated knives. Le Creuset 3-Ply Stainless-Steel 8-Inch Nonstick Omelet Pan

Great Value! Great Skillet
I just recently bought the 8 pc. set of stainless steel cookware from le creuset. I am a big fan of All Clad- which my parents have- and wanted something that could compete, but wasn't as expensive. I tested this pan against my mom's All Clad 9" non-stick skillet this morning. Here were my results:

This pan heated up slightly slower than the All Clad pan- but only by a second or two. Neither pan needed high temperatures to cook, and both finished eggs at about the same time.

Clean up was SO easy. No scrubbing at all. The finish on this skillet is beautiful. It comes with a 10 year warranty, too (because it is non-stick).

I would recommend this skillet to anyone looking for a great non-stick skillet that cooks evenly, has easy clean up, looks great, and is reasonably priced. The pan is heavy, which is nice for keeping it level on the stove, as well.

Excellent construction and design
I own a set of Le Creuset enameled cast iron cookware and this is my first purchase of their 3-ply stainless-steel product line. I must say I am very impressed with the obvious quality of this pan! It has a solid weight (lighter than the cast iron, but doesn't feel light and flimsy) and a beautiful appearance. The bottom has a nice "machined" look and the handle provides a solid and ergonomic grip. I highly recommend this and all products from Le Creuset. A worthwhile investment for anyone who spends time in the kitchen. Good cookware makes all the difference!

Sprite HHC-2 Replacement Shower Filter, 2-Pack

Any Difference from NewMarket Naturals?
Anyone know if this filter replacement cartridge is the same as the New Market Naturals replacement cartridge? They look the same...cost about the same.

UPDATE: I have made a phone call to New Market Naturals and they told me the Sprite filters are exactly the same as their own.

I have very hard water which has taken quite a toll on my hair and skin. I ordered the "April Shower APHH Handheld Shower Head and Filter Includes Pulse Massage" in Feb. 2010, I have noticed a notable improvement in the my hair and slight improvement in my skin.

This is a very nice and affordable option to helping improve the water quality in a rental unit where water hardness/softness is not a tenant responsibility.

Since, at this time I noticed the New Naturals brand replacement filters cost less, I will order them vs the Sprite.

Great Product for Chlorine Removal
My family has used this product for several years and we really enjoy finishing a shower not smelling of chlorine or with paper-dry skin.

We get three to six months of use from one cartridge.

Filter works well and lasts
This filter seems to do a good job... at least it lowers the chlorine smell of my water. You can also reverse it after a few months to get more life out of it. I would say they seem to last about 6-8 months before they are "full" and need to be replaced because they are reducing water flow.

Villeroy & Boch New Wave Caffe Mugs, Set of 2

Superb Villeroy and Boch quality (tea stains wipe right out), beautiful shape and (this was a concern chez nous) even left-handed people don't find the artsy handles problematic. I bought two of these as a "trial", will be purchasing more with an eye to replacing our grubby stained Deruta pottery mugs eventually.

Ceramic Undercounter Water Filter With Doulton Ultracarb Cartridge

Love my CLEAN water
Man, if you like clean water, you have to get one of these. No gaudy faucet attachments looking ugly on your sink, this one fits under the counter. easy to install and works GREAT. water tastes so clean. better than any bottled water i've drank. All my friends say the same thing. The filter can be cleaned and reused. I've had mine for about 8 months, and still haven't had to clean it. Ceramic is definitely the way to go. Great price too.

Simple and effective
I purchased this after researching the different types of water filters out there. Our water was just tested by the EWG and found to contain chromium hexavalent (sigh). I really wanted a filter that could remove this contaminant, but the only ones that are effective in doing so are reverse osmosis systems. I am not comfortable with RO systems because they use (read waste) 5 gallons of water to produce one clean gallon of water. The rest of the water goes down the drain! I find that simply unconscionable here in CA where we are suffering from a drought. Also, the RO systems remove essential minerals -- the water is pretty much "dead."

With this system, I get the heavy metals, chloramines, cysts and such removed. The water tastes great, it was simple to install and I like the fact that the Doulton ceramic filter can be cleaned and reused 35 times. A great value.

My only regret is that I didn't buy the two-stage system with the additional flouride filter...

Quality stuff, easy to install
Got the item quickly. Installed the following weekend without any problems. All necessary connectors were already included. The faucet I got was even better than the one in the picture (the spout was stainless steel or plastic looking like it). The only cons is that the plastic handle in the back is somewhat stiffer than I would prefer. Water tastes significantly better than what you get from the tap.

My favorite dishes
I absolutely love these dishes. I didn't intend to get them but I was doing a search for a toy tea set for my grandaughter and stumbled across these. I had purchased some paper napkins in this pattern at a tea house and when I saw these I was immediately drawn to them. I grew up very poor and when I got married I didn't register for china because I didn't think anyone would want to spend that much money on me. But when my daughter married I completed her china pattern so she would have a whole set, and when my son got married I did the same for his wife (and when she left him later she took the china with her :< ), so I thought it was my turn! Starrett 505A-7 ProSite Protractor

Quality control issues
Sturdy, nicely made tool, very easy to use: Match the arms to the corner, read the scale, set the saw, cut the trim. However, on the first one I received the scales did not match. For example, on a (maybe) square corner the single cut scale would read 0 and the miter scale would read 46. Same thing on inside or outside corners whatever the angle. So which scale is correct? Only way to find out is to cut and then recut the board. The purpose of this tool is to find and measure SMALL inaccuracies. If you can't trust the scales then it is simply an expensive angle take off tool and actualy less useful than a regular T bevel. I returned it to Amazon and very quickly received a replacement - which was no different. Not ready to give up I called Starrett and spoke with a very helpful and knowledgeable guy named John in tech support. He indicatd that the company is aware of the problem and is working to fix it. He suggested I return the tool to them and they would hand pick an...

Should Be A Required Piece Of Equipment
This is the smaller version of the 12-inch protractor, and is a tool more suited to my apron pocket, where it resides with their 6-inch T-square. It is as precise a tool as you could ask for, easy to use one handed, and invaluable for checking the alignment of tools before you make a mistake. It's the perfect protractor for in the shop, smaller work, where the 12-inch model's size makes it a bit unwieldy. It won't cut wood for you, but it will help you make sure that what you want is what you get.

5 star quality, 4 star price.
Look, let's be blunt. No matter how good your hotshot framing and drywall crews are, even new construction is never square. And in old houses, it just gets worse. And this doesn't even take into account irregular angled walls that are anyone's guess.

Now I know the rest of you all payed attention in 8th grade geometry, but for those of us who don't like mulling over math problems on the job site, the Sarrette is as good as it gets. Read the single cut angle off one side. Read the miter cut off the other.

And the tool can (and should) be used to set your miter saw to the exact angle you need. Read it off the wall, set the blade using the tool, cut. Perfect.

Oh, the pain I could have saved myself if only I'd bought one of these earlier. Cutting scrap test pieces and banging my head against the wall wondering how I'd gotten it wrong again.

Basically, if you do a lot of finish carpentry, having one of these will save you a lot of time and...

Crock-Pot SCV553KM 5-1/2-Quart Oval Manual Slow Cooker with Dipper, White

Seems okay: Only used it once so far
Amazon sells this crock pot through Target/ITC. I bought it at a local Target store for the same price.

Didn't want to pay a lot for a crock pot because we'll use it infrequently. Wife says Rival is best. I went with the wife's recommendation.

When I got home, I was sad to see that Rival is part of "The Holmes Group." I've sworn off Holmes' products because of their ventilation fans whereby they charge you money to get a warranty replacement and it's rigged so the charge plus shipping is the same amount as a new fan. Essentially, this means, their warranty is not only worthless but it is a scam.

I don't know if warranty will be handled in a similarly dismal fashion should we have problems with this Rival crock pot. Nevertheless, wife wants a basic Rival crock pot so I'll give in and accept a "Holmes" product this one time for her sake.

Great at cooking but the crock cracked
I am very pleased with how evenly this crock pot cooks. It works much better than the other crock pots I have. Food cooks well on both low and high. My only problem is that my crock is cracked all the way though from the top down to the bottom. I did not drop it but have heard the common pops while it's cooking that others have mentioned.

I WAS LOOKING FOR A CROCK POT THAT WOULD DO A GOOD JOB COOKING "AND" IN A COLOR THAT WENT WITH EVERYTHING. YOU GUESSED IT...WHITE! Wilton Armetale Reggae Serving Tray and Cheese Board with Spreader, Round, 12-1/4-Inch

cool but one flaw
I really like the design, but would have preferred if the board sat lower in the plate.

Looking at the picture the board looks flush with the plate, but that isn't actually the case.

Going back to the design though, it's fun and stylish so its still a nice piece.

The egg dish from the same design is likely the best piece overall.

Remanufactured Waring Pro WMK300 Belgian Waffle Maker, Brushed Stainless

Disappointing.
I've wanted one of these for years, and could never justify $80 for a waffle maker when I don't make waffles every weekend. This seemed like the perfect buy. It's half the price, but it still has the same manufacturers warranty according to the Amazon site... and I've used remanufactured products before with great success.

Alas, it was not meant to be. The box arrived, and all appeared in decent condition. There was some scoring and scratching on some of the components, and it looked as though it had seen some use. I was a little confused as it's supposed to be remanufactured, not simply 'used and cleaned.' Another disappointment came with the warranty. The warranty is NOT the 1-Year that Amazon is advertising, but a 90-day remanufactured warranty from Waring. Seemed like the deal was getting worse all the time.

The final kicker came when, after plugging in the item, I discovered that one of its important features, the cooking timer, is not functioning. My...

WOW!!!
I've wanted one for a long time, but, like others hesitated at the $80 pricetag. I was so excited to find this for half price and it was worth the wait. The box, interior packaging, literature and unit were in brand new condition...in fact I had to look through the paperwork to find any indication of the unit being remanufactured. Solid construction and smooth movement and more importantly DELICIOUS WAFFLES. The very first one (which I made as soon as I got it out of the box) came out perfect on the #4 setting; so did the last one. Perfectly golden brown, perfectly consistent, flawless non-stick. Timer indicator worked just fine. It beeps when it is ready for the first waffle and it beeps when the cylce is complete.

I'd love to do pros and cons, but as of yet, I have no cons!

Don't hesitate if these are in stock...they tend to go quick. Thanks Amazon!

If you want waffles this is the way to go
Never was a big waffle person but I like the throw big brunches so I thought I would incorporate a waffle station. Very easy to use, hardly any cleanup (just butter the grids a little before each waffle), and makes them quick, probably every 4 min or so. I am definitly enjoying this unit, looks great too came in perfect condition. The only thing is once and a while the timer does not go off. Seems to be every third waffle so I keep an eye out for that. (hence the 4 stars) But this is so worth the $40.

Remanufactured KitchenAid RKV25G0XER Professional 5 Plus 5-Quart Stand Mixer, Empire Red

DON'T SEND A BOY TO DO A MAN'S JOB
I have owned this mixer for two weeks and have used it everyday. Baking and cooking has never been so easy and fun. I have made everything from cakes to biscuits to heavy double batches of yeast bread and I have yet to come across anything that will slow this machine down. It will plow through a 12 cup bread dough recipe like it was a small single batch. I purchased the meat grinder, slicer-shredder, and strainer attachment combo with it and it operates these accessories with no problems. I have made several recipes of sausages with the grinder attachment and this machine will grind up meat in nothing flat. I bought this to replace a Sunbeam Mixmaster that I bought on Amazon a month or so before I got this one. The Sunbeam was a 350 watt model and it would not hold a candle to this one even on thin cake batter. I have whipped small batches of whipping cream with this Kitchenaid using the wire whip and no amount is too small. Cosmetically, this machine did not have a scratch or mark on...

EveryDay Table Napkins, Braunite

Square napkins
This was a gift, the bright orange napkins packed in a wire basket turkey for fall and Thanksgiving. I used three of them for a dinner. After washing and folding them the claim made that "these napkins stay square" was proven. No rolled seams, no pulling at the corners, and they folded up equal on all sides. There was no difference in the size of the three I used. I liked them so well I got on the computer to find more by this maker. The napkins feel good in your hand, wash well, and are a good size. I plan to get more of them in different colors. The ones I have have "Design Ideas" listed at the brand on the sewn-in tag. I am not sure how many sellers of this brand are out there, but Amazon has always been reliable for my many orders.
